The historic North Star House has been a work in progress for nine years now. North Star Historical Conservancy treasurer Cheryl Belcher says the army of volunteers who have worked tirelessly to restore the landmark to its former glory have made a great impact on the house.
When the North Star House opens its doors for the first Growers Market of the season this Saturday, Belcher and volunteer chairs will be at the weekly event to recruit help for everything from grounds keeping to docent work to masons to help restore one of the most iconic parts of North Star House.
North Star volunteer recruiters will be at the Growers Market, at the North Star House on Auburn Road, near the fairgrounds, this Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. To learn more about volunteering, visit NorthStarConservancy.org or call Cheryl Belcher at 205-8793.
