Not a Bright Idea to Steal Bright Objects

It wasn’t the brightest idea two individuals had when they decided to burglarize a vacant house and take some brightly colored items in bright daylight. Grass Valley Police Lt. Steve Johnson says that an officer was investigating a burglary that had occurred at a Bennett Street residence on Sunday.

On Monday morning a little after 11:00 the officer performed a drive-by to check on the house from the previous day.

According to Lt. Johnson The objects were easily recognizable.

WharffMcInnis1The officer detained the individuals and began questioning how they came to be in possession of the items.

The officer identified the suspects as 26 year old Robert Wharff, and 25 year old Grant McInnis.

The incident remains under investigation as it appears Wharff and McInnis may be involved with the burglary reported on Sunday.
