The Nugget Fringe Festival gets underway tonight (Jan. 21) with a short preview of all 31 performances that are scheduled over 11 days. Scott Ewing with Quest Theaterworks is the producer of the festival.
The first Nugget Fringe Festival was held last year, but Ewing says it’s even bigger this year with more acts and more venues.
There are 7 different venues , including sierra college, 151 Union Square, A warehouse on East Main Street, also at Off Center Stage, Sierra Mountain Coffee Roasters and Yoga Well, which is above the New Mongolian Restaurant.
Long time local drama teacher John Deaderick will be staring in “Lieutenant of Inishmore in 4D” which is a hilarious look at terrorist culture through the lens of the IRA.
