NUHS Students Complete Walkathon Today

If you were driving anywhere between Ridge Rd, Hughes Rd, East Main St and Sierra college Drive between 9:30 and 10:30 this morning, you probably witnessed the parade of high school students.

The event was a Walkathon to raise funds for the school and lots of people were cheering the kids on.

Some 16-hundred students were participating in the Walkathon today, most of them happy that the event will make it possible for students to receive much needed supplies.

The students seemed most excited that if they raise enough money, every student would be able to receive a Chrome Book, that’s a lap top that they can use in class and to do homework.

Each student in the walkathon was given a t-shirt to support school unity and at the end of the walk the local youth group, NEO, was providing a BBQ for the walkers on campus.
