On 05/11/2014, Nevada County Sheriffs Deputies were dispatched to Nevada Union High School regarding a report of several thefts and vandalism that occurred to the outside lockers.
Deputies arrived on scene and saw that every outside locker in J-Wing, C-Wing and D-Wing and been forced opened. The contents of the lockers were strewn on the ground in front of the
lockers. The damage was estimated at $20,000.
A review of the video surveillance footage depicted three unidentified males committing the vandalism and theft. The males appear to be in their 20’s with one riding a BMX style bike.
During the investigation, it was discovered that there had been three subjects on campus the night before at about 9:30 PM that appeared to be checking various lockers on campus. The three subjects on campus the night prior are described as a white male juvenile, approximately 17-18 years old, very tall (approximately 6’3″); a female who was approximately 5’5″; and an older male approximately 30 years old and 5’7″.
