Odyssey House Rennovation Completed

The major rennovation of Odyssey House, in Nevada City, Nevada County’s transitional facility for the severely mentally ill, has been completed. It’ll be able to accomodate up to 16 clients, instead of 10. The building was originally a single-family home in the 1940’s that was acquired by the county in the 1970’s. It opened in 1995. The program features counselling, on-site case management, group therapy, and vocational and job acquisition skills. It also provides assistance with chores and other daily activities, as well as medication schedules…

The project was funded by a nearly three-million dollar Community Development Block Grant.
