Officers Caring and Sharing Again This Year

Grass Valley Police Officers are once again helping underprivileged children have a nice Christmas, thanks to their annual Caring and Sharing program. You can help too. Detective Brian Blakemore is Vice President of the Grass Valley Police Officers Association, which is running the program. Blakemore says there is a Christmas Tree in the lobby of the Police Station, with cards with the names of children on them…

Some of the items include model helicopters or drawing supplies-things that kids would want throughout the year. Blakemore says not only do the children get to receive presents, but on December 13th, they’ll also be able to shop for their families…

If you would like to help, stop by the Police Station at East Main and South Auburn Streets, get a card off the tree, and return the unwrapped gift items by December ninth. This is the 23rd year of the Caring and Sharing program.
