School starts soon, and if you’ve been up to Nevada Union High School lately, you may have noticed that things are a mess. Lots of repairs are being done, but we’re told they will be finished by the time the school year gets underway. Assistant Principal Tim Reid says he’s thankful the bond measure passed–it’s allowed them to do some major projects, including replacing the gas lines…
There was also some major roof repair. Reid says the original plan was to re-roof two buildings, but they ended up doing four because there was so much rot and decay going on. They are in the process of fixing the parking lots, which were torn up because of work on the gas lines. The pavement will just be patched for this year, and will be re-paved next summer…
The first football game is on the road, so that’s gives them a little extra time for the turf. School starts Tuesday August 15 at 8am.
