Stephanie Fischer is the Executive Director of Community Beyond Violence, formerly known as the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalition. She says she expected an increase of calls to their crisis line, but really hasn’t seen it. She says the name change, which happened in 2017, could be part of the reason….

Fisher says, though, that 70 percent of other agencies that provide similar services in other areas of the state have seen an increase in calls for service. The Community Beyond Violence Crisis Line is 274-3467.
