Oil Spill Closes Dorsey Drive

Fire crews responded to the Dorsey Drive construction area to a report of some type of an oil spill this (Wednesday) morning. Consolidated Fire Department Battalion Chief Jim Turner says fire fighters arrived on scene to find a spill of some fifteen gallons of hydraulic fluid. Chef Turner says the construction crew worked very quickly to contain the spill.

The spill was quickly cleaned up and the construction project continued. The Chief says the construction companies quick action prevented any damage. Traffic was stopped for about 20 minutes while the cleanup was underway.
