The concensus following a Nevada County Consolidated Board meeting last evening was to look outside of the local departments for a new Fire Chief, hopefully to be on the job by next January.  Knox says the county also notified the fire district that  it looks like tax revenue for the next year will be down 2.8 percent from last yaer.  Knox says that means a loss of about $65 thousand dollars to nevada County Consolidated which equals one firefighter position.  He explains the current coverage in the county under present budgets.
