Operation: Name A Seat for GV Vet’s Building

Many spectators at events held at  the Grass Valley Veterans Memorial Auditorium have said that it would be more comfortable if the bleachers had seat backs. The Center for The Arts which holds a number of events at the Vets Building and is listening to patrons and are launching a new project; Operation: Name A Seat. The project will create a permanent installation of comfortable seating for everyone attending the many community events held at the Veteran’s Building. Each seat will honor a member of the United States Military.

Baker says the project involves making repairs to the bleachers, widening the walkways, making way for additional ADA seats, and the installation of the new state-of-the-art stadium seating.

A total of 483 stadium seats will be installed in the bleachers. The goal is to have all seats sold for an installation celebration this summer.
