Oregon Fugitive Arrested in GV

An alert Grass Valley Police Officer on patrol near the Fowler Center in the Brunswick Basin spotted a couple of men acting suspiciously in the parking lot. Lieutenant Alex Gammelgard says that the officer was positioning his vehicle near the subjects and called for backup.

Cate,-Jaycob1The second officer made contact with Jaycob Cate of Burns, Oregon. The officer ran Cate through the system and information returned him as a fugitive wanted for second degree burglary in Oregon.

Cate is being held at the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility with no bail awaiting a return transfer to Oregon.
