“Our Town” at Nevada Theatre

The Pulitzer-Prize winning “Our Town” written by Thornton Wilder is known to most people as a play they read or performed in their school days.   First produced in 1938, “Our Town” has become an American stage treasure and is Wilder’s most renowned and frequently performed play.  Local Actor – Director Sandra Rockman says she was in the play in 2002 in an early Foothill Theatre production.

Set at the turn of the 20th century, the play reveals the ordinary lives of the people in the small town of Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire.

“Our Town”  directed by Sandra Rockman runs October 11 through November 3 at the Nevada Theatre in Nevada City.   Show times: 7pm Thursdays, 8pm Fridays, and  2pm & 8pm Saturdays, Tickets: $15 Thursdays and Saturday matinees, $20 Fridays & Saturdays.
