If you are going to be driving at night this week, get ready for some freeway closures. The Golden Center Freeway will be shut down from 7pm to 7am in one direction between Idaho-Maryland Road and Brunswick Road. It’s part of the Dorsey Drive interchange project. Chief Engineer Greg Zeiss with H-D-R says overnight is the best time to shut down the lanes to allow crews to be out there…
Traffic will be diverted on to Main Street as a detour. Northbound lanes will be closed tonight and Wednesday, and Southbound lanes will be shut down on Tuesday and Thursday. Zeiss says next week, crews will be working on Dorsey Drive itself…
You’ll just have to walk on the other side of the street. Zeiss says even though the freeway closures that start tonight were originally scheduled for last week, he’s pleased with the progress so far…
Completion of the entire project is scheduled for the fall of 2014. Again, Northbound lanes will be closed tonight from 7pm to 7am, Southbound tomorrow, Northbound again on Wednesday, and Southbound once more on Thursday.
