Paint the Town Success

You may have noticed the volunteers out and about  Saturday for the first ever Grass Valley Paint the Town. The event actually started last week as the prep work was done on a number of buildings on South Auburn Street and Main Street area of downtown Grass Valley. Community member Marty Lombardi was helping paint Cousin Jack’s Pasty Shop and proud to be part of the team.

Grass Valley City Manager, Bob Richardson, was part of the team that put the event together. Paint the Town drew about 60 volunteers painting 4 buildings as well as a number of other projects.

City Council member Jan Arbuckle says the overall feel for the day was very positive.

Paint The Town was a collaborative effort between the businesses, the contractors association, the City of Grass Valley, the Grass Valley Downtown Association and the 60 volunteers that turned out to make the event a success.
