Parent Teacher Club President Accused of Embezzlement

A 35 year old Penn Valley woman has been charged with allegedly using $11,000 of a school’s parent teacher club fund for personal needs. The suspect, Michelle Huni, the president of the Pleasant Valley School Parent’s Club, had assumed the Treasurer’s duties when the previous treasurer resigned earlier this school year. At the most recent Parent Teacher Club meeting, Huni provided a bank statement showing there was 8500 dollars in the account.
