Parking Expansion For Nevada City Discussed

The city staff proposal, titled “ParkEasy Nevada City”, includes angle parking and adding onto existing lots. But Prestwich says they’re also looking at creating a 42-space lot on vacant, city-owned property at Sacramento and Clark Streets, with some restrictions…

Prestwich says this lot would be connected by a footbridge built from the old Maybert bridge in the town of Washington that was donated by the county. The proposal also includes 200-plus shuttle options and 20 new bicycle spots. The Planning Commission will discuss the issue at its meeting on the 16th, with the City Council possibly agendizing it at a meeting in March.
