Penn Valley Double Shooting

A double shooting incident is under investigation in Penn Valley this morning and a manhunt underway. Nevada County Undersheriff Joe Salivar says they initially got the call through 9-1-1.

Just a few minutes later another 9-1-1 call came in of another victim that had been shot.

Nevada County Sheriff’s called for assistance in securing the area from Placer county Sheriff’s and the CHP, and determined the identity of a possible suspect.

Carman is described as 6 feet 4 inches tall, 190 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on James Carman’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Nevada County Sheriff’s office. Below is a copy of his 2008 Booking Photo.
