Penn Valley Drug Bust nets Heroin, Marijuana Plants, and Cash

For the past three months the Nevada County Task Force has been conducting an  investigation into possible illegal activity at a Penn Valley residence. Nevada County Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Pettit says  the property is located in the 18-thousand block of Siesta Drive in Penn Valley.

Marijuana-growDuring the execution of the search warrant yesterday , approximately 200 marijuana plants were located under cultivation inside of a grow room in the garage. Also located inside of the garage was a butane honey oil (BHO) lab and approximately 2oz of finished butane honey oil. During a search of the bed rooms officers found more drugs.

Pettit says several people were at the house when the search Honey-oilwarrant was served, but only three were taken into custody,   including the owner of the residence.  65 year-old Susan Gee was arrested for a local misdemeanor warrant for a prior drug charge; 44 year-old Mark Spooner was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and heroin, marijuana cultivation, and manufacturing a controlled substance; and  63 year-old Daniel Potter was arrested for possession of heroin with the intent to distribute.
