For the past three months the Nevada County Task Force has been conducting an investigation into possible illegal activity at a Penn Valley residence. Nevada County Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Pettit says the property is located in the 18-thousand block of Siesta Drive in Penn Valley.
During the execution of the search warrant yesterday , approximately 200 marijuana plants were located under cultivation inside of a grow room in the garage. Also located inside of the garage was a butane honey oil (BHO) lab and approximately 2oz of finished butane honey oil. During a search of the bed rooms officers found more drugs.
Pettit says several people were at the house when the search 
warrant was served, but only three were taken into custody, including the owner of the residence. 65 year-old Susan Gee was arrested for a local misdemeanor warrant for a prior drug charge; 44 year-old Mark Spooner was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and heroin, marijuana cultivation, and manufacturing a controlled substance; and 63 year-old Daniel Potter was arrested for possession of heroin with the intent to distribute.
