It’s a new way to give outlying communities a voice, and it will first be tried in Penn Valley. The Board of Supervisors has approved what is called a Municipal Advisory Council for the area. Penn Valley is in Supervisor Hank Weston’s District. He says the council will discuss various issues, kind of like a mini planning commission…

The idea has been approved as a two-year pilot program, beginning July 1.
