Penn Valley Man faces Felony Domestic Violence Charges

Nevada County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a Domestic Violence incident taking place Monday night about 10:20 in the 20,000 bock of Chaparral Circle in Lake Wildwood.
Nevada County Sheriff’s Lt. Steve Tripp says when officers arrived they found the female in the driveway with visible facial injuries. She told deputies that she and her boyfriend were arguing which boiled over into a shoving match.

At that point the woman says she tried to gather her things and leave, but her boyfriend had disabled the telephone preventing her from calling 9-1-1.

Lt. Tripp says deputies had no choice but to arrest t Martin, due to the extent of the woman’s injuries .

Martin was charged with inflicting corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant and obstructing or preventing someone from calling 9-1-1,
both Felonies.
