Penn Valley man to be remembered

Dale Baptie will be remembered with a celebration of life Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Penn Valley Rodeo grounds, where one of the many projects he undertook is located.  Jackie Mathews says Baptie made a big difference in the Nevada County community.

Mathews says the former restaurant manager was always ready to help Penn Valley.  Those projects included providing special seating at the rodeo grounds in the community.

Baptie passed away in July at the age of 71. The celebration of life for Baptie will be held Saturday, Aug. 18,  from 4 p.m. to dusk at the Penn Valley Rodeo grounds.
