Penn Valley Woman Pleads To Embezzlement

A 2 and a half year-old embezzlement case appears to finally be nearing an end. Last year, Huni had taken a plea agreement, in return for up to one year in the county jail. But she rejected it three months later and then failed to appear in court, adding another felony conviction, after a jury trial. Alexander says Huni now faces a 2 to 4-year prison sentence that can be reduced further, depending on her ability to pay restitution…

Sentencing is scheduled for September 9th. Huni pleaded no contest to embezzlement, welfare fraud, and perjury. The restitution hearing is scheduled for September 30th.
