Person of Interest in Suspected Homicide

The Nevada County Sheriff’s Department is continuing to investigate what they are calling a ‘person of interest’ in the death of a Grass Valley man.

Sheriff Keith Royal says following the interview, the 26 year-old Bancroft was arrested on an unrelated robbery charge stemming from an incident that happened days before in Auburn. Surveillance video reportedly shows Bancroft in the vehicle that belonged to 51 year-old Daniel Ormsby, whose body was found in the front yard of a home near Nevada City, and had been there for several days…

Bancroft is still in custody in Placer County.
