Pet Adoptions and Fostering Going Well

Despite no public walk-ins for weeks, Nevada County’s animal shelter is still doing well in finding homes. And with more people staying home a lot, due to the coronavirus emergency, fewer of their pets are likely being lost. Dog walkers have continued, with social distancing. Cat volunteers have been reduced to one person per room and three per morning, with none in the afternoon. All trainings and orientations have been suspended.
