PGE Has Savings Tips For Hot Summer Bills

As our first major heatwave of the year hits us, a number of PG and E customers may find more “sticker shock” on their bills this summer, similar to what they saw during the winter. And utility spokesperson Brandi Merlo says, thanks to a new rate structure that went into effect in March, bills could be as much as 11% higher, on average, for low-usage customers, especially those who live in more temperate regions. Other savings tips include sealing outdoor air leaks…improving window shading…and regular maintenance of your air conditioner, including checking air filters once a month.
