Once upon a time I was a professional photographer. Back in the days of film, and actual composition. I was also a Certified Photographic Counselor, by the Photo Marketing Association. So. every now and again I like to pass along some tips for getting good pictures.
This time of year we are indoors more than outdoors so remember to use a flash for a great shot. Here’s an example of what I mean:

From your resident engineer/physicist/mathematician ...
We had about 0.75 inches of rain last night. Most of us in the county live on small acreage, 1-10 acres or so. What exactly does an inch of rain mean to us?
One inch of rain per acre is not quite 30,000 gallons of water and weighs just a bit over 110 TONS of water. So we had about 25,000 gallons of water and not quite 100 tons of water last night. Per acre. Multiply times your property size in acres.
