Pickleball Courts Approved For Memorial Park

At the Grass Valley City Council meeting yesterday evening, there was standing room only regarding a project to build pickleball courts for Memorial Park. And the Council has approved a middle option. Three options were presented by Bjorn Jones, a Senior Civil Engineer for the City. He told the council the problem is that the contract for the four courts has already been awarded…

The Council decided the second option, to put four courts in a space near the tennis courts, and re-negotiate the contract, made more sense than the third option, which was to cancel the project and absorb a significant financial loss.This was approved by the Council in a 5-0 vote.
