Placer County Real Food

Eating foods in season helps promote health, says the woman who in 1989 opened the first Foothill Farmers Market in Placer County. Joanne Neft has since written “Placer County Real Food” as well as “The Art of Real Food.”

Neft will be at Tess’s Kitchen store in Grass Valley this Saturday (July 28) from noon to three. A total of 600 recipes are in the two books. Neft notes changes in the health of Americans.
