On December 29, there was an attempted robbery, at gunpoint, at the Kings Beach Liquor store.   On January 2, there was an armed robbery at the Incline Village Chevron station. Shortly after the Chevron robbery, a vehicle was stolen in Incline Village.  That vehicle was involved in an accident in Tahoe Vista on January 5.  On January 10, a 17-year-old juvenile was arrested in Tahoe City on the vehicle theft charges.  Shortly thereafter, search warrants were served in both states which led to the arrest of Jorge Miranda Rivas and another 17-year-old male from Incline Village

On January 11, two more search warrants were served in Kings Beach and the final suspect, Jorge Torres, 18, of Kings Beach was arrested for vehicle theft.  Torres is also implicated in the Incline Village robbery.  Due to excellent networking between all three agencies and assistance from the victims of these crimes, there was a quick and successful conclusion to three cases.
