Placer Relaxes Rules; Nevada County Doesn’t

Placer County has relaxed some of its restrictions on where you can go and what you can do outdoors, but those same priviledges do not appear to be headed to Nevada County anytime soon. Effective today (Friday), Placer County has ammended its shelter in place order to allow places like golf courses, shooting and archery ranges, and dog parks to re-open, as long as proper social distancing guidelines are followed. The Public Health Officer for Nevada County would have to make that decision here, and county spokesman Andrew Trygg says he has no plans to do that at this time…

While no specific reasons were given as to what the holdup might be, Trygg says they are being cautious…

There hasn’t been a reported confirmed case of coronavirus in Nevada County since April 7.
