Placer Sheriff Adding Job to Address Homelessness

In order to deal with chronic crime caused by transients in the North Auburn area, the Placer County Sheriff’s Department has created a full time deputy position just to deal with those issues. Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Dena Erwin says Deputy Ryan Zender was selected to the new position, known as ‘Problem Oriented Policing’…
