Plane Mishap During Touch and Goes

A pilot practicing takeoff and landings skidded off the the runway causing the airport to close for a while Wednesday morning. Nevda County Airport Manager Lee Ocker says the pilot was doing amanuever called a “touch and go with a Cessna 177B.*

According to Ocker the pilot skidded off of the north runway while attempting to take off as part of one the maneuvers.
the accident is under investigation. A crane was required to return the plane to the tarmac. The pilot suffered minor injuries.
