Commission Chair Paul Aguilar. The Commission approved the other two planning department recommendations to move forward with the Penn Valley store and deny the Rough and Ready location. The Rough and Ready location was denied because the planning department says the business is not compatible with anticipated future uses of the surrounding area. The meeting started at 1:30 and lasted until well after six o’clock, with public comment allowed on each of the three projects. There is now a ten-day appeal period, whcih could send any or all of the three projects to the Board of Supervisors.
