Barrington says Planning Commission staff will have a brief presentation about each of the projects, and then the E-I-R consultant will provide some information about the environmental review process. That will be followed by public comment, which could be lengthy. Barrington says the comments, including those provided in writing, must be addressed in a final Environmental Impact Report, followed by a ten-day comment period…

The stores are proposed for Alta Sierra, Penn Valley, and one on Rough and Ready Highway outside of Grass Valley. Some local groups have opposed the stores. The meeting is at 1:30pm at the Rood Center.
