A man found out the hard way that Driving Under the Influence is still Driving Under the Influence regardless of how you treat the investigating officer. CHP Officer Justin Barnthouse says a subject driving without lights in Penn Valley caught the eye of a Sheriff deputy.
The driver, identified as James Nelson, was evaluated by a CHP officer.
Officer Barnthouse says Nelson never attempted to resist any of the officers.
Unfortunately for Nelson, his manners did not keep him from being arrested. He was charged with DUI, driving on a suspended license and committing a crime while on probation or parole.
