Porch Pirate Season May Be Even Busier

We’re getting into the busiest time of the year for packages being placed by people’s doors. And with the pandemic restricting the in-person Christmas-shopping experience, or making people uncomfortable, on-line buying has surged even more. Grass Valley Police Sergeant Clint Bates says there have been no significant porch pirate reports so far, but he expects a spike. Bates says over the last couple of years, they’ve recovered about a couple-hundred thousand dollars worth of property.
