Possession of Illegal Knife Leads to Arrest

A Grass Valley man was taken into custody for a second time for carrying a concealed dagger type knife. Grass Valley Police Captain Rex Marks says officers recognized 29 year old Robert Denton of Cedar Ridge at the corner of the Nevada City Highway and Dorsey Drive early Saturday night. When an officer asked to talk with Denton he took of running. The Captain says the fleeing man was caught after a chase.

Denton was found to be in possession of a concealed curved-blade dagger. Ha also had a warrant for his arrest for a prior possession of a concealed dagger. Denton was booked into the jail for suspicion of possession of the dagger and the warrant.
