Potholes On Rise In Nevada Co With Wet Winter

Castleberry says no particular area has been harder hit than others, that it’s a countywide problem. Last year, he also reported that the county would have one-million dollars less in road maintenance funding for this winter, due to declining gas tax revenue from falling prices at the pump. He says they’ve seen a 25-percent cut over the last decade. That has not impacted pothole repairs…

According to a Triple-A survey, drivers on average report paying 300 dollars to repair pothole-related vehicle damage. And it says those drivers whose vehicles incurred this type of damage had it happen frequently, with an average of three times in the last five years.
