A preliminary hearing is underway in a case of several counts of sexual misconduct with children. Jonathan Foote is accused of committing multiple lewd and lascivious acts on underage victims over a number of years. This morning, one alleged victim recounted over 20 instances of hand-to-genital contact, oral copulation and sodomy during his middle and high school years. Testimony depicted the defendant’s ability to take advantage of moments of opportunity as well as potentially planned meetings with the victim and the persuasive manner in which the victim was coerced into sexual behavior. The hearing continues this afternoon with testimony from law enforcement officers.
