The process Peek’s team is using is called eDNA.

Specifically Peek has been looking at the North Yuba River from its headwaters in the Sierras to a monitoring station near the 49 Bridge.
By taking many samples over time and space, scientists are beginning to assess how dynamic biodiversity might be, and how it may link to hydrology & water chemistry patterns.

To share more about the Water Signatures project, Ryan Peek will be presenting Tuesday evening at Sierra College Nevada County Campus multipurpose room 6-7:30 PM
