Prius Struck by Taurus Slows Traffic On Highway 49

A Grass Valley woman pulled out onto Highway 49 and was hit by a oncoming car. CHP Officer Steve Ingram says the accident was reported at noon on Monday at Pingree Road. Officer Ingram says a 26 year old Grass Valley woman driving a  was turning north bound onto Highway 49. She was slowing inching her  Prius out into the south bound lane.

Ingram says both the driver of the Prius and the south bound driver,  a 49 year old woman also from Grass Valley; were taken to the hospital for treatment of non life threatening injures.
