Probation Search Uncovers Kilo of Pot

Wednesday afternoon around 1:30 PM Grass Valley Police officers were contacting a subject that was on probation. Sgt Joe Matteoni says when they contacted the subject, Travis Pate, at a Newtown Road residence they discovered a number of items that were in violation of his probation.

Pate had over 1000 grams, or a kilo, of marijuana stored in several plastic tote containers. Pate was booked on multiple charges including possession of marijuana for sale, possession of concentrated cannabis- hash, possession of a controlled narcotic, possession of paraphernalia, and a probation violation.
