Property Tax Bills In the Mail

Property tax bills are being mailed out today, Friday,  to some 60 thousand property owners in Nevada County.

According to Nevada County Treasurer, Tax Collector Tina Vernon,   property tax bills equate to about $180 million dollars being collected by the county. She says property values went up  about   one percent.

Vernon says fourteen percent of property taxes comes back to the county to provides services.

Property Tax  first installments are due November 1st and are delinquent December 10th. The second installment is due February 1st and Delinquent April 10th.
