Vernon also reminds property owners that full payment, with the penalty waiver request, must be included with the application by no later than June 30th, the end of the fiscal year. But she says collections were at 85-percent on Friday, compared to 79-percent last year at this time…
Vernon also says a large percentage of Nevada County property owners have escrow impound accounts. Those can be set up with a new home loan that will pay property taxes, by collecting one-twelfth of the annual amount due, along with the mortgage payment.
