It was a beautiful Memorial Day weekend. I was happy to spend part of my Saturday in the parking lot of KNCO News Talk 830 as we hosted a yard sale to benefit Habitat for Humanity. We raised over $500 with more donations expected.
I took my sons to the Art Walk in downtown Grass Valley on Saturday and introduced them to Grass Valley City Councilman Dan Miller, owner of Nevada County Makes Jerri Glover, and the little boy in this photo who wanted to know what I was going to do with his picture.
We took a drive out to Edwards Crossing to further enjoy our Saturday. I’m always looking for new spots that the locals know about, so if you have ideas, let me know.
On Sunday I took my boys to the Memorial Day Services so they could thank the veterans for their service to our country.
And I introduced the boys to Grass Valley Mayor Jan Arbuckle and Grass Valley Police Chief John Foster.
A great weekend was had by all. I wonder what we will do next weekend. I have an idea we may be in Placer County at the Auburn Regional Park. I will tell you why shortly.
