It does not seem that long ago that the elections happened last Fall. Then again, some days it seems like forever. One thing I remembered is the feeling that people had to be active in their community…to be part of change for the better. It is not too late and the local wildfires that were in our backyards only a few weeks ago should have been a wake up call. Two Grass Valley Police Chaplains have partnered with community leaders to organize a Community Disaster Relief Fund. It is to help those who lost things…in some cases everything…in the Lobo and McCourtney Fires. With the giving season upon us, don’t forget to give to your neighbors who are suddenly without. You can get applications to get help AND get donation information at the Grass Valley PD facebook page and at the GVPD front office.
