Pull The Plug- Go to Jail

A dispute between a property owner and renter lead to the arrest of the owner for pulling the plug. Nevada County Undersheriff Joe Salivar says that the dispute between property owner John Short and the victim began over a week ago.

Deputies explained to Mr. Short that he could not turn off the electricity over a rent issue, that there was civil process that should be followed. Power was restored and Short was warned that if he did it again, he would be arrested.
Just after midnight Friday, deputies were called out to the same residence for the same reason.

Short posted bail and was released.
