Two people were hospitalized after a early Tuesday morning accident on Purdon Road outside Nevada City. CHP Public information Officer Greg Tassone says the original information was very vague about were the accident happened. Officer Tassone says when officers found the location; one person was unconscious and another person had serious injuries.

Both of the people hurt in the accident were in their early twenties. One Was flown to Sutter Roseville Hospital, the other was taken to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital.  The investigation is centering on which person was driving the car and if other people were in the car when the accident happened. The 2001 Acura ran off the road and suffered major damage in the accident.
